Calculating Areas

Prices are based on the external area of your proposed development. The area is calculated by adding together the external areas of each floor.

• For NEW BUILDS the area includes each floor of the main house and integral garages. Loft areas should also be included by measuring to the outside of loft walls. Out-buildings and detached garages will be priced separately – see their associated fee bands.
• For EXTENSIONS the price includes associated works, i.e. immediately adjacent structural openings

• Your estimate files will be emailed to you at zero extra cost in Microsoft Word & Excel formats ready for you to print.

Just for info, our default specifications meet the 2022 versions of the Approved Documents for Conservation of Fuel and Power (Part L). Projects in England that have not submitted building notices prior to 15th June 2022, and 23rd November 2022 in Wales, now have to comply with these. Our specifications meet these changes by default unless specified otherwise on your documentation. Please note that your estimate will only be started on receipt of a completed order form. Any delay could setback the completion date of the estimate.
